A cold front pushing through Southwest Florida this morning will usher in some changes to our weather for the weekend, including a cooling trend to the region. For today, expect a rather cloudy and cool day with highs only reaching the low to mid 70s. Gradually clearing skies and northerly winds overnight will allow temperatures to cool down to the low 50s by Saturday morning. A few cities in Glades and Hendry County may even see morning lows in the upper 40s!
An even cooler weekend is in store! Despite more sunshine, highs on Saturday struggle to climb, topping out in the upper 60s. More clouds return late Saturday into Sunday along with a few showers. A cloudy, cool and at times showery day is expected Sunday with highs only reaching the low to mid 60s. A few light showers will be possible, especially during the morning and afternoon hours. These rains won't be as strong or severe as we experienced last weekend but could interrupt outdoor plans throughout the day. Lingering showers end Sunday night and we'll start off the new week with dry weather but staying cool with below average highs on Monday in the upper 60s. Then, a gradual warming trend commences with highs near 80 by the end of the week.
