Real I.D. requirements

A reminder, especially if you like to fly, time is running out to get your license updated. The Department of Homeland Security says two-thirds of U.S. driver's licenses are not compliant with the Real I.D. Act.

It's a law that puts stricter requirements on drivers licenses. To get one, you have to have paperwork showing your full legal name, your date of birth, your social security number, and two items to show proof of address.

In Florida, you can tell if you have a real I.D., if your license has a star in the corner. If you don't get on by October 1st, you won't be able to get on an airplane.
