LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- One person is dead after a crash at the intersection of Seventh Street West and Gunnery Road, Saturday.
Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene just before 4 p.m.
Troopers say a 1997 Toyota Corolla traveling on 7th Street West was stopped at the intersection of Gunnery Road.
The driver then proceeded into the intersection and collided into an oncoming vehicle.
The Toyota ran off the roadway and came to final rest on the east shoulder facing north. Its driver, 54-year-old Fredy Guevara Flores of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was killed due to the impact of the crash.
The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries.
No further information has been released at this time.
