FLORIDA — Starting today the permanent “alcohol to-go drinks” bill will go into effect and Floridians can take alcoholic beverages with their meals home.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the senate bill in May to help restaurants throughout the Safer at Home order during the pandemic.

While the practice has become permanent, officials want to ensure that Floridians know it is still illegal to consume alcohol beverages while driving.
