Florida State University receives money to study laws that impact communities of color

Lawmakers are partnering with university researchers to vet how Criminal Justice laws could affect communities of color in Florida.

The state senate will spend $200,000 for Florida State University's College of Criminology and Criminal Justice to do the analysis.

Right now, African Americans make up almost half of those in Florida prisons.
