Female Python and her 40 eggs captured in the Everglades

Posted

EVERGLADES, Fla-- A Python hunter in the Everglades found a massive 12-foot-long snake and her dozens of eggs.

The snake was found by a rock. When the hunter went to catch her, he noticed the 40 eggs she had with her.

The hunter says ever though the snake bit him, he was still able to take her to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, who will humanely euthanize her.

The Pythons are an invasive species that are eating a lot of the food sources the native animals living in the Everglades depend on.
