A contentious hearing took place during the trial of accused Seminole Heights serial killer, Howell Donaldson III.

The 25-year-old is accused of murdering Benjamin Mitchell, Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa and Ronald Felton. The defense stated in court that they still have not received important documents from the police.

In November 2017, authorities seized a gun at the McDonalds where Donaldson worked. Shell casings were also collected at the scene.

"There was testing done on this firearm back in November of 2017 when it was first collected, we have nothing to reflect any testing done,” Public Defender Jennifer Spradley said.

The judge ordered the state to turn over any and all documents it has regarding the gun and shell casings by October 26th. Donaldson was not in court for today’s hearing.
