A bill named after a Parkland shooting victim is one step closer to becoming law. Alyssa Hadeef was killed in the shooting two years ago. Now, her mom is fighting to put panic button systems in every school.

The bill just passes its final committees this week. It should go to the floor for a vote in the next two weeks. If the governor signs off on it, it would take effect this July.
