A Naples high school football team will have a road trip like no other next season.
The Community School of Naples varsity team will play in Ireland next year as part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic featuring Georgia Tech and Boston College.
CSN will play on Friday, September 2nd at Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Eight schools from the United States and Mexico will travel overseas to participate in the tournament.
"Community School of Naples is extremely excited about the opportunity to experience Ireland," said Bart W. Weiss, Colonel (retired) USAF Director of Athletic Operations. "This is the perfect blend of celebrating global awareness, academic excellence and athletic competition for our student athletes.
"The event definitely goes hand in hand with CSN's vision of global engagement and further expands our international educational endeavors to offer a broad-based athletic program and provide students competitive leadership opportunities that nurture and develop teamwork and responsibility to better prepare them in becoming independent thinkers and lifelong learners."
