LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- One of two men charged in the murder of Bonita Springs doctor Teresa Sievers is expected to be released from a federal prison in Illinois this Monday. But that doesn't mean he'll be a free man.
Jimmy Rodgers is now wrapping up a six-month probation sentence on an unrelated charge. Once his sentence is up Monday, he'll be held at the prison until deputies bring him back to Lee County to face second-degree murder charges in Sievers' death. His alleged accomplice, Curtis Wayne Wright, is already in jail on the same charge.
A witness claims Teresa's husband Mark Sievers -- who has not been charged -- paid the men to kill his wife for life insurance money last summer.
