LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A man shot Tuesday night in Lehigh Acres has been confirmed as 38 year old Terrence Braxton. His neighbor says she's now in fear for her life after the shooting.

"It shocked me, I'm still shocked," said Laquesha Gibbs. "I'm still wondering, am I supposed to be here still."

Laquesha Gibbs lives next door to where the shooting happened. She says it was her neighbor 38 year-old Terrence Braxton who was shot, someone she describes as a family man.

"Right next door. I've never had a problem with them. We help each other with my kids, their kids," said Gibbs.

The gunfire erupted along Meadow Road and South Todd Avenue Tuesday night.

Gibbs was home with her children when the shots rung out.  "All of a sudden we just heard, 'dah dah dah', like two rounds, two rounds worth," said Gibbs.

Tuesday's shooting is the third since Sunday in the area, and it's forcing Gibbs to make a tough decision to protect her family.

"I don't want to be here anymore. I don't feel safe. I'm not staying. I'm trying to get out of here now. While we speak," said Gibbs.
