PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Punta Gorda bank Monday afternoon.
According to Punta Gorda Police, on Monday at approximately 1:14 p.m., officers responded to Busey Bank at 2815 Tamiami Trail in reference to a robbery that had just occurred. Bank staff reports that the male entered the store and implied that he had a weapon in his possession.
It is unknown if the male was on foot or had a vehicle nearby.
The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a white hoodie marked ‘North Ft. Myers’, sunglasses, and jeans.
