Water quality concerns rising faster than Lake O levels as releases and health alerts continue in Southwest Florida

WFTX — The Florida Health Department now has several health advisories for both blue-green algae and red tide across Southwest Florida. At the same time, the Army Corps of Engineers tells us it can’t stop the releases from Lake Okeechobee that are causing it.

FOX 4 Reporter Rob Manch spoke with an environmental expert today to learn what that could mean for Southwest Florida waterways.
