SANIBEL, Fla. -- Veterinarians at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife on Sanibel recently performed surgery on a critically endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtle.

The surgery removed a fish hook it had swallowed and had gotten embedded in the sea turtle's mouth.

CROW workers are waiting to see how it recovers before deciding if they release it back into the wild.
