State's algae task force to meet in Naples this week

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Florida’s Blue-Green Algae Task Force will meet again this week; this time in Naples.

They will focus on several topics including the health impacts of toxic algae. There will be updates from the Department of Health and Environmental Protection.

The task force will discuss storm water management and regulations.

You also have a chance to voice your comments and concerns.

The meetings will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Florida Gulf Coast University’s Kapnick Center, located at 4940 Bayshore Drive in Naples.

The meetings are open to the public, and will be streamed on The Florida Channel.
