LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Fish and Wildlife wants to clear up any misinformation about how to get rid of iguanas.
Officers say if you can't safely and humanely kill iguanas on your property, you should ask a professional.
Earlier this month, we reported that FWC said you should kill the invasive lizards if they are on your property.
But some people took that too far-shooting iguanas instead.
The FWC commissioner explained that this is dangerous and "this is not the 'wild west.'"
