The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is warning people that Bears are more active in Fall.

They are reminding people to help prevent conflicts with bears by securing garbage and other items that might attract these animals.

For additional tips on how to keep black bears from your home, head to myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/wildlife/bear.

It is illegal in Florida to intentionally feed bears or leave out food or garbage that will attract bears and cause human-bear conflicts. If you see or suspect someone is feeding or attracting bears, please call the FWC’s Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-FWCC (3922).
