Bonita Springs Mayor request Everglades funding to address environmental concerns

EVERGLADES, FLa. — $200-million a year will go towards the Everglades restoration plan and protecting our paradise.

The funding was adopted yesterday at the request of Bonita Springs Mayor Peter Simmons at the US Mayors conference in Hawaii.

The money will be used to address concerns relating to pollution, wildlife, and water movement and storage.

Funding will come from Congress.
