One is dead after a crash that took place in Punta Gorda on Saturday, according to a report.
Joshua Stewart, 34, was traveling northbound on Florida St. approaching Dundee Rd.
He then entered the west shoulder and struck a utility pole. The driver then struck a tree and and came to final rest against a guard rail.
Deputies say the accident was not alcohol related.
