FORT MYERS, Fla. - A developer is promising big changes for downtown Fort Myers in the form of a new luxury high rise called The Allure.
It's to be built on East First Street near the Calooshatchee bridge. But will it really happen? After all, it wouldn't be first downtown plan to fizzle out.
Tuesday, City Council acknowledged their latest plan to a build a new hotel downtown next to the Harborside Event Center fell through again.
Allure's sales office seem be serious. They've set up a model center like no other at the City Pier building, right on the water.
It simulates what buyers will get.
Within days of opening this sales center, they've already sold 20% of the condos needed to get their loan from the bank.
So instead of just looking at a floor plan, potential buyers get to look at an actual layout of a real condo and all the ammenties that go with it along with a real view of the water.
