MARCO ISLAND, Fla. -- Detectives with the Marco Island Police Department are looking for a suspect or suspects involved in several home burglaries.
The 11 burglaries took place between October 5th and November 15th. Most of the break-ins happened close to each other, including two on Granada Drive, one on Nassau Road and another at nearby Fruitland Avenue.
Police say in most of the cases the suspects entered through an unlocked sliding glass door or window.
"A friend of ours had their jewelry stolen and a good computer," said Andria Anderson.
An extra officer will be patrolling the community until the suspects or suspects are found. The thefts are occurring the day when most of the victims aren't home.
"It's too small a place, we're only 4 x 6 miles. It's too easy to pinpoint," said resident Didi Wooller.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Marco Island Police Department at 239-389-5050.
