LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Fox 4 wanted to check in on the homeless population in Southwest Florida to see how the homeless are preparing for the Coronavirus.

There is a lack of resources for the homeless.

The main concern is no access to hot water or hand soap.

“Judging from the sign up from this week for volunteers, I would say there are some concerns because some of the people who would normally be here did not sign up this week. And everybody has to do what they think is best for their family and I can appreciate that and understand that” Kristine Salter, volunteer.

Despite the concerns, volunteers say they will continue to help their friends in any way possible.

As for the homeless population, they say they face a lot more threats than the Coronavirus.
