Abducted South Carolina children from Amber Alert found safe, suspect still at large

UPDATE: The abducted children from the Amber Alert for Newberry County, SC have been located and the suspect, Tommy Toland has been apprehended.

Police say the suspect, Tommy Toland was arrested in Calhoun County, SC. He will be returned to Newberry County, SC to face charges.

An Amber alert was issued by the Newberry County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina due to a non-custodial kidnapping of two small children Saturday morning.

The abducted children from the Amber Alert for Newberry County, SC have been located but the suspect, Tommy Toland is still at large.

An Amber alert was issued by the Newberry County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina due to a non-custodial kidnapping of two small children Saturday morning.

Calhoun County Deputies found the children, who appeared to be unharmed, in the car the suspect was driving. The car was described as a grey 2001 Honda Accord with a green hood and green passenger fender.

Tommy Toland is a black male, 43 years of age, 5'11." Police say he has residences listed in Orangeburg, Calhoun, Columbia and Florida.

His last known address was 1300 Johnson Ave. Apt 115 Columbia, SC.

Tommir Toland age 11, and Omirra Toland age 3, were abducted by their non custodial father from their mother's home after forcible entry.

A search is underway for the suspect Tommy Toland. The suspect, went to the home of the mother and unlawfully entered the home by force and snatched his biological children from their mother.

Toland threatened the residents of the home with physical and to burn the house down with the residents of the home inside.

Toland does not have any custodial rights and has not been adjudicated as a parent through the Family Court.

The suspect is also a Tier III registered Sex Offender through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Toland left the residence with the non custodial children in a grey 2001 Honda Accord with a green hood and green passenger fender.
