COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The wife of a prominent lawyer in Naples continues to get in trouble with the law. 36-year-old Stacy Scuderi was hauled into jail early Tuesday morning after a high-speed chase during which she allegedly ran over curbs, hit mailboxes, and hit triple digits on the speedometer.

While Scuderi refused a breathalyzer test, deputies say they smelled alcohol on her, noting she had urinated and defecated in the drivers seat.

Scuderi whipped up a wake of chaos on her way home from a Walmart.  The situation was so bad that shoppers called 911 that a drunk driver was leaving the parking lot.

When authorities caught up with her on Immokalee Road, Scuderi ignored police sirens and flashing lights until she finally crashed inside her gated community.

People who have lived near her say they have the distinct misfortune to call her a neighbor. "Well she definitely needs help. I think she's a bad person too, but she definitely needs help."

People who used to live near Stacey Scuderi believe she needs to be in jail and stay there.  "I fear for my life and my family's life," says Angela Sutherland, who was allegedly attacked by Scuderi last year.

There is a long list of people who say Scuderi is more then a troublemaker.  She has previously been caught on camera yelling at her neighbors after she wrestled one woman to the ground.  She was handed a restraining order after that confrontation.

"I hate it here.  This is no way to live, absolutely no way to live," said witness John Sutherland.

Scuderi was also arrested and charged with battery and trespassing after being accused of stealing tools from a neighbor's garage.

And now, Scuderi is back in jail, facing a judge yet again -- the third time in two years.

This time its a long list of charges:  DUI, speeding, driving with no headlights, DUI property damage, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Here's how the Collier County Sheriff's Office say it all went down Tuesday morning.

Around 1:30am, Scuderi was leaving Walmart, heading toward her home at Ibis Cove, when a deputy pulled her over on Immokalee Road.  The deputy reports that Scuderi had driven off from the traffic stop and was possibly impaired and driving without headlights on.

Near the I-75 overpass a 2nd patrol car joined the chase, which reached approximately 110 miles per hour in a 45mph zone.

After about  2.5 miles, Scuderi approached the Ibis Cove community entrance, where she hit the curb and a wooden sprinkler post and stopped at the front gate.  Deputies pulled up behind her while she waited for the gate to open, but she sped off again into the community, going as fast as 50 miles per hour before going over a curb and hitting a tree and shrubbery.  The van then backed up and attempted to keep going before hitting two mailboxes and stopping.

Scuderi still refused to get out and was forcibly removed from the vehicle.  That's when deputies say they not only smelled alcohol on her but also observed she had defecated in the drivers seat.

She was finally put in constraints and taken into custody.

Scuderi's previous neighbors have absolutely nothing nice to say about her.  "We wanted to see something happen, definitely. Because she's just a sociopath."

As of Wednesday afternoon, Scuderi was still in custody in the Collier County Jail on $160,000 bond.
