The Naples religious community gathered Friday night. Temple Shalom hosted an interfaith prayer ceremony one week after bullet holes were discovered on a temple sign.
"It's wonderful that everyone showing such support and it's very important," said Ina Barr, a proud member of the synagogue.
Many felt obligated to come Friday night because they wanted to show their support.
Members of the Jewish faith greeting their friends of different religions for standing together. Temple Shalom has signs reading 'One Family' and that message rang loudly Friday night.
"Most of the faith communities around here do this at all times at happy times. so it's important that we are here now," said Jennifer Rainey, a member of a nearby Christian congregation.
Rabbi Adam Miller thanked the crowd of eight hundred for their support. He said they fixed the sign with paint and labor, but now it is time to heal spiritually.
The Naples religious community feels as if this incident brought them closer together.
"It is very very important for everyone to understand how we must we stick together and love each other," said Helene Gaillet de Neergaard, who was invited to speak at the ceremony.
