LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Mark Sievers, who's charged with planning the murder of wife, doctor Teresa Sievers, has lost permanent custody of his two daughters.

A closed-door hearing was held Friday in Lee County where a Lee county judge awarded full custody of the two girls to their maternal grandmother.

Sievers is accused of hiring Jimmy Rodgers and Curtis Wright to kill his wife for life insurance money.

Sievers and Rodgers both face the death penalty.  Wright is serving a 25-year sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
