PORTLAND, OR -- Caught on camera: a snake swiped from an Oregon pet store.
The thief tried to be sneaky and creative to get out of the store unnoticed. But surveillance footage shows him stuffing the stolen snake down his pants.
Christin Bjugan takes care of the animals at "A to Z Pets" in Portland, ans was shocked when someone swiped one of her rarest reptiles. "He stole our $200 black pastel ball python."
After getting the call Friday that the snake was gone, Christin spent the better part of her Saturday reviewing surveillance footage. That's when she spotted the suspected snake thief on film. "You'll see him put it in his pants. Yuck. Just drops it right in the front."
A short time later, you see him waddle out. "Trying to act like there's not a snake in his pants."
Now the search is on to find the thief, and the 2-foot python. "He's lucky it wasn't feeding day; feeding days are on Mondays, and they're very hungry."
