LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers needs your help finding a would-be thief who tried to hide himself as a good Samaritan.
Last month the owner of BiggerStaff Electric in Lehigh Acres got to his business to find his water system partially dismantled and spraying water.
A man at the scene stated he drove by the business and saw three men trying to steal the system. He says he tried to stop the spraying water until the owner got there.
But then the owner looked at his security tapes, and that so-called good Samaritan turned out to be the man who tried to steal the system in the first place.
They say the only reason he didn't steal it was because the owner showed up.
