FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Investigators say one man was injured by gunfire early Wednesday morning at a Fort Myers hotel.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a disturbance was reported at the WoodSpring Suites just off Palm Beach Boulevard at Interstate 75 shortly after midnight.

That's where they say a 41-year-old man was located with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  He refused to cooperate with investigators but was treated by EMS.

Fox 4 spoke to a witness who tells us she saw blood on the ground after hearing a gunshot at the hotel.

Several detectives at the scene were focused on a blue pick-up.  They had their flashlights out to look inside and at one point they had all the doors open.

A witness told us she believes that vehicle belongs to one of the people connected to the possible shooting.  According to that witness, three men were arguing, and shortly after she heard a gunshot.

She was so afraid of what she saw and heard she decided to leave the hotel.  "We heard the gunshot and then we looked down on the ground and there was blood, and then the cops came and then the ambulance came to take the guy. They put him on a stretcher and then the two other guys came back - the ones that shot the guy - and I just stopped looking," said the witness.

The information from the witness has not been confirmed just yet.
