CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A 25-year-old woman was injured in a boating accident near Cape Haze Peninsula Saturday night.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said the boat had six occupants when it struck a sandbar.
Officials said the woman was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment for her injuries.
Officials say none of the other vessel's occupants sustained injuries.
The FWC, Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Charlotte County Emergency Services, Boca Grande Fire Rescue, and Cape Haze Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
FWC officials said this incident is currently under investigation.
