UPDATE (11:50AM) -- Cape Coral Police have arrested a man for fatally stabbing a woman in Cape Coral Sunday night.

31-year-old Kyle Orr was arrested shortly after detectives found the body of 30-year-old Jessica Landor fatally stabbed to death.

He will be charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

A witness told police that they saw the suspect leaving the residence on foot and was inflicting knife wounds on himself as he walked way. Officers located Orr with the arm wounds behind a building one block away and found a knife nearby.

Orr was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to Cape Coral Police, Orr was arrested on a drug charge on May 8th after an incident at the same residence. In that case, Landor told officers that she was choked and tied up by Orr, but refused to press charges.

Officers say since the couple did not live together or have any children together, the situation could not be ruled as domestic violence.

Orr was also arrested in May 2014 in connection to two convenience store robberies.
