FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A woman has been charged with Attempted Murder after a shooting incident at Bernwood Trace apartments last Thursday.
22-year-old Katrina Drakes was arrested Wednesday and booked in the Lee County Jail on a charge of 2nd Degree Attempted Murder with a Firearm.
According to Fort Myers Police, Drakes shot 23-year-old John Scroggins near the front gate of the complex, located off Six Mile Cypress Parkway near Winkler Avenue.
Scroggins was admitted to the Lee Memorial Hospital Trauma Center for medical treatment and has since been released.
