LEE COUNTY, Fla. --- A Lehigh Acres woman is arrested after reportedly waving a gun around and shooting her husband.
According to Lee County Sheriff's Office, detectives responded to a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound at Lehigh Regional Medical Center. The victim reportedly told investigators that the injury was self-inflicted, however, hospital staff believed otherwise.
Deputies arrived at the victim's home where blood was spotted on the porch. The victim's wife, Sandra McMillan, was located inside and was incoherent and appeared under the influence of drugs.
McMillan was transported to the ER and treated for a possible drug overdose.
LCSO deputies located two children inside the home and stated that their mother was waving a gun around when it discharged and struck their father.
McMillan was arrested and charged with kidnapping, obstructing justice, aggravated battery and a weapon offense.
