DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. — DeSoto County Sheriffs Office responded to a call about a woman trying to smuggle drugs into the DeSoto Correctional Institution.
Deputies discovered 83.96 grams of synthetic cannabinoid, 28.14 grams of synthetic bath salts, and 3.38 grams of ecstasy pills.
Crystal Medina is now being housed at the DeSoto County Jail on a $21,000 bond.
Medina was arrested and charged with Smuggling Contraband into a Correctional Institute, two counts- Possession of Controlled Substance without Prescription (Synthetic cannabinoid and ecstasy), Trafficking in Phenethylamines (Bath Salts) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
