LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lee County woman is accused of stealing more than $11,000 in three separate fraud investigations targeting the elderly.

Lee County deputies from the Economic Crimes Unit arrested Christine DuBois in a shopping center off Palm Beach Blvd., in North Fort Myers around 3 p.m., on March 24.

DuBois worked repairing AC units and was contracted by the victims within the past year. Deputies say DuBois took deposits for work but never completed it and refused to give refunds.

Deputies say DuBois also falsified and altered checks and had a people sign contracts with a company that is not licensed in the state of Florida.

An 84 year old woman is among the people who say they lost money to DuBois.

DuBois is facing ten felony and three misdemeanor charges.

The investigation remains active.
