LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- People love to complain about how bad the drivers are in their city, but according to one national website, Fort Myers drivers are among the best in the country.
That's the finding of the insurance comparison website QuoteWizard. They say they analyzed data from millions of insurance quotes from drivers in the top 75 cities in the country. Then they evaluated cities on four factors to determine overall driver quality: accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, and citations.
And their results place two Florida cities in the top 10 for best drivers: Miami at #4 and Fort Myers at #9.
They found that Detroit has the best drivers in America.
So which cities scored poorly? Portland, Oregon was deemed the worst, followed by Boise, Idaho, and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
