FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The National Weather Service in Tampa has confirmed there was a waterspout in Southwest Florida Monday evening.
Officials say the waterspout formed one mile west-northwest of Tice at 6:50 p.m.
Radar from that time frame shows a strong storm forming near Tice and moving into the Caloosahatchee River.
There was some damage on New York Drive from that storm system that moved through at the Tice Mobile Home Court & RV.
