CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A quick reaction from a Cape Coral homeowner prevented the theft of a lawnmower and trailer from her driveway in broad daylight.
According to Cape Coral Police, the homeowner says her dog alerted her to the presence of people on her driveway on Northeast 20th Terrace back on March 28th. She checked the in-home security cameras and saw a man and woman snooping around the trailer parked in her driveway.
The pair started to walk the trailer down the driveway toward their truck before the homeowner opened the garage and chased them. The pair abandoned the trailer and jumped into their truck and drove off.
The male suspect is described as a white male, approximately 175-180 pounds, 30 years of age, 5`10" to 6`00" wearing a dark gray t-shirt, and dark orange colored shorts. He had a black compression sleeve on his left elbow-upper arm with a white colored thin, stripe wrapped around. He had black knee pads on and a black colored, cloth ball cap with a red brim, and wore tennis shoes that were black and white in color.
The woman was a white female, approximately 115-125 pounds, 30 years of age, and 5`06" to 5`07" tall. She was wearing a red/maroon colored, long sleeve shirt and short blue shorts, black gloves, mirrored aviator sunglasses, and had straight long blonde hair in a pony tail.
