LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An extremely rare fish was caught on video this weekend in the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

The refuge shared a video of a smalltooth sawfish on its Facebook page Monday.  It was taken Sunday in the park by Vic Harvey.

They say it's possibly the rarest species ever videoed in the refuge.

According to the Florida Museum, the smalltooth sawfish is listed as "critically endangered" and is only found in the waters off south Florida.  Florida has established three wildlife refuges to further protect its habitat.
