FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say charges are pending for a suspect in a shots fired situation in Fort Myers on Thursday night.
Officers were called to a Central Avenue apartment around 8:19 p.m. about a shooting. A female at the scene says she was in an argument with 26-year-old Javonte Walker. She says she ordered Walker to leave, and instead he pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the woman in the foot.
Walker fired a shot into the floor, causing lacerations in the woman's food from flying debris. He then left the apartment after the woman called 911.
Detectives responded to the scene and issued a pick-up for Walker’s arrest on two counts Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Cruelty Towards a Child since children were present.
