The Cape Coral Police Department has released the dashboard and body camera footage of the harrowing moments officers exchanged gunfire with the man suspected of killing two people in a shooting rampage last year.

The suspect, Christopher Moran, 31, was  killed in the shootout. Investigators said Moran was shot 13 times and 38 shell casings were collected from the scene where Moran was shot and killed.

The miles-long shooting spree started on Skyline Boulevard, where Moran shot and killed a man on his motorcycle. He then went to the Circle K on Cape Coral Parkway and shot and killed the clerk.

Police caught up with Moran at a home on Skyline Boulevard. The dashcam video shows him pulling out of the driveway before he exchanged gunfire with officers.

In the video, you can hear more than a dozen rounds in rapid succession. The video also shows the officers checking each other for gunshot wounds.

Moran's girlfriend and their 13-month old baby were caught in the crossfire.

The autopsy revealed Moran had multiple drugs in his system at the time of the shooting, including cocaine.

The State Attorney's Office cleared the four officers involved in the shooting, saying they were justified in killing Moran.
