LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a viral video that appears to show a trooper racing another car.
An Instagram video posted Monday shows a Lamborghini driving along side an FHP cruiser on an unidentified highway before both of them speed off side by side.
The poster says this video was taken three years ago. It's not clear when this happened or where.
FHP tells Fox 4 that they have immediately opened an investigation into the video.
"Troopers are expected to act professionally and inspire confidence and trust in those they serve," their statement says. "The trooper in question will be held accountable upon any finding of misconduct."
So far, the video has gotten over 62,000 views.
