CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Homeowners across Southwest Florida are on high alert as officers investigate a series of home burglaries.
Right now, the search continues in Charlotte County for the people behind a string of break-ins Friday morning at three seasonal homes along Strasburg Drive, and one along Deborah Avenue in Port Charlotte.
Deputies say each home was empty, and the suspect is believed to be in his mid-to-late 20's with short brown hair. And he and may have tattoos on his arms.
These are just the latest of several recent burglaries in Port Charlotte. Most of them have happened during the day.
