Lee, Hendry and Glades have been awarded federal funds in the amount of $289,305.
The funds were made available through the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
This grant has made it possible for the United Way to start accepting applications for emergency food and shelter.
The deadline for applications to be received is July 5, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
