UF employee wins cow milking contest

A University of Florida employee took home the champion milker title at the Sunbelt Agricultural Expo's  contest in Moultrie, Georgia. 

Chris DeCubellis, a statewide specialized agent for UF's 4-H program, went up against three other milkers from Georgia, Alabama and Kentucky. According to UF, The competition lasted four minutes, with each competitor milking for one minute before rotating. 

DeCubellis said that he grew up on a farm and has been milking cows since he was 3-years-old. 

"I just milk the way my dad taught me," he said. 

Florida 4-H is the youth development program of the UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension.

According to UF, DeCubeliis provides young people ages 8 to 18 with hands-on experiences in science, leadership, healthy living and community service.
