LEE COUNTY, Fla. --- Two teenagers are facing charges after a night of car hopping and entering unlocked cars while carrying a handgun.
Cape Coral Police say the car burglaries happened overnight on the 400 block of Northwest 19th Street. Investigators were able to obtain video surveillance of an armed suspect carrying a handgun entering unlocked cars in the area.
Cape Coral Police arrested Chadd Keaton and Trenton Hingson as suspects. Officers worked with detectives with the Property Crime Unit to identify as well as locate Keaton and Hingson.
Both Keaton and Hingson were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center and are facing arm burglary and theft, with more charges pending.
