LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A judge has sentenced a Belle Glade man two consecutive life sentences after being found guilty of Sexual Battery on a Child.
44-year-old Omario Thomas was found guilty Thursday night after a two day trial in Lee County.
According to the State Attorney's Office, the Glades County Sheriff’s Office and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crime and Thomas was arrested in 2017.
The victim, now a teenager, testified against the defendant during trial.
Thomas was charged with Sexual Battery and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on a Child Less than 12 Years of Age.
