PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Two men are facing charges after two women say they had shots fired at them early Saturday morning.
21-year-old Kevin Roe and 27-year-old Aaron Fordham have been arrested and are charged with Shooting into an Occupied Building and Discharging a Firearm in Public or on Residential Property.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the two female victims say they had returned home around 2:30 a.m. and were sitting in a vehicle in the 3200 block of Port Charlotte Boulevard when they saw a silver SUV drive by and heard multiple gunshots.
Responding deputies found multiple .223 shell casings on the road and damage to the victim's vehicle, house and a trailer.
One of the victims informed investigators that she had a confrontation earlier that night with her ex-boyfriend, Fordham, which ended with him pointing a firearm at her and threatening her.
Deputies later located an SUV connected to the shooting and interviewed four people about the incident.
Spent .223 casings were located in the SUV, and investigators determined that it was Roe who fired the shots.
Deputies also say Fordham was present during the shooting and assisted in concealing evidence.
