NAPLES, Fla. -- Two men were arrested early Sunday morning after an altercation with bouncers involving a handgun at a Naples bar.
It happened shortly after 1 a.m. at Pelican Larry's on Pine Ridge Road and U.S. 41.
According to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report, two bouncers at the bar told deputies that they had asked a group of men outside on the patio to leave because they smelled marijuana. They said the men became belligerent, and one man, 26-year-old Andrew Pratt, pulled a gun out and pointed it at a bouncer and hit him in the face with it.
Another bouncer said he was then shoved by another man, 26-year-old Erick Soto. The bouncer says he took Soto to the ground and while there he was hit in the face with an object by Pratt.
When deputies arrived, both men were pinned to the ground by bouncers. The handgun was secured and found to not be loaded.
Pratt is charged with two counts each of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Battery.
Soto is charged with Battery.
