LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Fort Myers man is accused of having a gun in his carry-on luggage while trying to fly out of Southwest Florida International Airport.
61-year-old Timothy Fenton was arrested Monday after a TSA agent saw a firearm in his bag on the x-ray screen.
Fenton says he forgot the Smith & Wesson .380 was in his bag.
The agent also found a magazine with five rounds. However, there was no bullet in the chamber.
Investigators say Fenton's concealed weapons permit had expired in July. He is now charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Fenton was the Chief Operating Officer at McDonald's Corp. and retired in 2014.
